Roooooar!! =D

For our anniversary my DF brought tickets to see Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London this was an amazing anniversary present! I've never had so much emotion running through me as i did when they were performing the Circle of Life, it's so well put together and i can see why its won so many awards, the fact i was there with my Fiance made it ten times better!! If i could go again tomorrow i would!! This is deffinately on my list of things to do before you die. Short rant though, the only problem i had with it is the children in front would not sit still and their parents didn't much care that they were climbing on the seats in fact Mum gave them each a glow stick to wave around, Smart move eh? also theatre etiquette clapping.. at the right times! NOT when mufasa dies :'( however you get so engrossed in the performance you don't get distracted for long, their costumes are truly amazing and they have kept it as close to the movie as they could and that adds to the effect so much more than any other musical i've seen. The performers put their all into their performance and you could see it =D If you haven't been yet.. go! You are seriously missing out!

Festival Season is HERE!!

This year my festival of choice is ... Bloodstock Open Air at Catton hall, Derby after a loooong train journey we finally arrived at Lichfield City station to find our fellow metal heads had brought a stack of booze that we had to smuggle in ;) firstly we had to get it there after waiting for a bus which never came we got 3 taxis and divided ourselves up. Finaly we arrived at BOA site and were searched before going in we had one crate of booze confiscated not bad since we bought 10 crates =P One of our friends brought a small bouncy castle which ended up being crowd surfed when Europe closed the festival on the last night. They had some good up and coming bands on the Sophie Stage (named after the late Sophie Lancaster) a fitting memorial to a young girl who lost her life because she was "different"

The only downfall of the whole festival was the food was crazily overpriced £2.50 for a burger £2 for chips and £2.50 for a bottle of coke so if you ran out of money and didn't have a decent overdraft consider yourself screwed to hell. Luckily i took a friend who did have an overdraft ;) Thanks again Adam! Much appreciated i can tell you! I only came out of it £50 down compared to Adam who stayed an extra day and ended up overdrafting £150 =

You may think wow a blog about festivals which doesn't mention the toilet facilities.. i don't really want to relive that horror! =/

Taking Back the City

I love London!!! even if its so fast paced you don't know whether your coming or going, i couldn't live there but i could easily visit every week if i could. =P I love the fact you can be out on the heavily populated streets then walk through a gate into a park which you wouldn't think was in the middle of a city. On Saturday, My fiance, our friend and i went to London, originaly we were going for a day but decided we'd make a weekend of it. We visited Madame Tussauds, London Eye, Piccadily Circus, Covent Gardens and Regents Park.

I would deffinately say for the wow factor the London Eye and Piccadily Circus by night are incredible, Covent Gardens is great for dinner and street performers =D but for the ultimate in relaxation in a place as fast paced as London go sit in any of the parks in london and enjoy the weather if its nice! =D
